9/23 Baby Girl

I was asked to do some baby girl layouts for a co-worker... so of course I had to!
I just love babies .... and truthfully I love the papers on the baby isle. LOVE THEM!!! So here is a few of the pages I created. Notice they are not glued down. I only did one of each page so the only one getting them is the lady who is having the baby. You can still get the feel for the page ... I do think they would look better glued down and add a little ink here and there ... but I'm sure you get the idea.

Scrapbook Expo This Friday & Saturday!!!!

I am so excited! Scrapbook Expo is here... I love going there is always so many great finds. Lots of new products and deals on old retirees. This Friday and Saturday is the big weekend. I am going with my friend Jacki about 3ish on Friday...
taking a little cash and leaving all other means of over spending at home :)

I can't wait to share with you all the goodies I find. Maybe I will even run into a

Also so sorry for the lack of posts last week. Dave had a business trip in Ohio all week and had to take my laptop. I HATE the home computer it is so old and slow I usually want to throw it before I ever even get on. I did try to use Keith's one day and after the evil eye and whining I decided it just wasn't worth it and I would just wait for my baby to come home. ( I mean my laptop ... not Dave :) JK
Anyway... all is good ... baby is home... and I am back to blogging.

9/6/10 Back To School Layout

Well Summer is officially over for me! :( We are draining to pool today and I am back to work tomorrow. What a bummer... and before we know it the holidays will be upon us. It is kind of a sad week for me ... I am sending my baby to high school.
Kamryn will be a freshman this year! She had to get her hair cut and wanted just a trim so I talked her into letting grandma do it. It was what she wanted... strait across the bottom and trim the bangs. OMG... well when we got into the car she started to tear up and said... "Mom, you can not send me to school like this!" In my mom's defense it wasn't bad ... it just wasn't what Kami wanted. Well she is all fixed up and ready for school. Then there is Keith, my son is heading into high school for his last year. A SENOIR!!! OMG where has the time gone. It seems like only yesturday he was headed off to first grade. He is driving,working lots, hanging out with girls, and talking about college... I am in a daze wondering where the time has gone. He is no longer my little boy crying when he gets a boo boo and giving those sweet little I love you mommy hugs and kisses. ( I miss those moments ) Now he is to "cool" for that and he gives high five's and see ya laters. I know everyone has to grow up ... but is it ok to still want to hold on to those little babies who needed us so much and melted our hearts?

My Mind's Eye - Lost and Found Layout

I ran into my favorite scrapbook hang out today and I was excited to see a TUN of new stuff. This line from My Mind's Eye is amazing. I just loved all the colors and embellishments. One glance and I just had to have it! There is only one problem.... GLITTER! I love the look of glitter but I hate finding little sparkles on my face for days after scrappin' with it. Well taking that into consideration I think a little sparkle is worth it and I dove right in. :) I was so excited about it I ran into my friend Jacki and made her get some too... then we headed back home to scrap! OH ya ~ if you are thinking what is up with me since I haven't been posting a lot. Well my mother in-law called on Sat. and told me she was coming on Tuesday!!!! ( she lives in Alabama ) NOTHING LIKE LAST MINUTE!!! She came Tuesday a week ago and left this Tuesday. So we were busy,busy cleaning and busy,busy entertaining once she got here. My husband Dave works for Precision Cast Pasts and they are having mandatory overtime and he's been working about 60+ hours a week and had no time off while she was here ... during the time his mom was here his truck broke down and when he finally did have time he needed to work on his truck! AAAHHHHH!!!! I don't think things could have been worse for timing but the kids and I had to step up and visit, shop, and entertain her.I think she had a good trip. She left this Tuesday and Tuesday was also my first day back to work ... I am so sad summer is over :( It always goes by so fast. Only good thing is life should slow down for all of us and a regular routine would be nice.

So when I ran across this paper with all the strawberries I just had to have them. I think I originally wanted to do a berry picking layout but I decided that my saying ... Here is another Kit from Kami. I felt like I was scrappin' with my friend Racki today. Racki cranks out the pages like crazy and 3 hours later I am still on page one of a two page layout. :) Kami fell in love with this paper at the store. We bought a fire pit for the back yard and the kids have been making S'mores and she just had to do a layout... and now we will have to remember to take pictures.

This Layout was created using Creative Imaginations Helen Dardik Beach Days Collection. I just loved it in the store but really couldn't get inspired.... I did look on line for some help but found NOTHING...and started to wonder if I was the only one who liked it. I hope not... I do think it made a great layout and I really like the waves. This is also a kit available at the next crop, there is 3 available and they will be $10 each.

SEI Birthday Collection

A while back I found this SEI pad of Birthday papers that were so adorable I had to have them. Well, they have been in my want to do pile forever, and today Kami wanted to be creative with me. So she looked on line and found a super cute idea and went to town. She did copy pretty much but not exactly and I think they are adorable. She put 4 kits together and will be selling them at the crop for $7.00. ( She is selling her kits a little cheaper because she doesn't embellish as much and she doesn't layer the papers like I do :) I just know everyone will love them as much as I do. Nice job Kami!!! :)

8/10 Wedding invitations

As you all know I have been busy with a couple of weddings this summer. Two friends have asked me to do the wedding invitations for their children's weddings. Mary Ellen Fetrow wanted it all! :) Bridal shower invitations, save the date cards, wedding reception invitations and RSVP cards (40 shower and 80 of everything else).Joshua and Nicoleta were married in Italy since he was in the service in the spring. This summer they will re-new their vows with her family in Europe then back here to Oregon for a wedding reception with his family before going back to their beautiful new home in Arizona where he is now stationed. Then my friend Leslie Winstead asked me to do some invited for her son's wedding too! First Wedding invitations and only 30 since the wedding was in Canada. Then for a wedding reception here in Oregon with all their family and friends they needed 150 invites. Wow! I have to say they all turned out beautifully and I am so glad I did them.... I really enjoyed doing them and that really adds something new to my talent list. Now I can't wait for the next invitations.... any more weddings, birthdays, house warming or baby showers. :)

8/2 Busy being a mom - All Keith's fault :)

So sorry ladies I know I have missed some days... there is a lot going on here. Some of you know I have 2 friends who have me doing their wedding invites. This week is the big push for those. One wedding is 150 and the other 80 with 80 RSVP cards. Busy, Busy! Really that isn't what is keeping me so busy. My 17 year old son ( turns 18 - Dec. 5 ) had a summer get together on Saturday. He had 7 guys and 4 girls and I was a bit busy. He just doesn't have the hostess in him and he wanted me, if not to clean to pay for everything. Nice right ? Well 2 of the girls wanted to come back over and hang out with Keith and his friend Tyler tonight. I am trying to convince Keith that 2 girls and 2 boys is a double date. He really needs some help catching on when the girls flirt. Dave and I are convinced if the girls jumped on them naked they still wouldn't think they were flirting and interested. Poor girls ... they are working hard and the boys have no clue. So I thought I would share a older page I did of Keith ... he's handsome, smart and a hard worker ... but clueless when it comes to girls!!!! :) hahaha!!!!
