5/28/10 Movie night anyone?
I finally am on the road to feeling better. I feel like the pain is more tolerable
now. Having wisdom teeth out sucks! I just knew there was a reason why I had scheduled and cancelled the appointment 3 times before I actually did it. Then deciding to do braces at the same time .... INSANE! I am still not 100% but the pain is tolerable now.... and that is a good thing!
Ok so while I was in misery sleeping the pain away...I watched some movies I just hadn't seen in a while. ( those of you who know me we have a TUN of dvd'd ... hundreds :) Have any of you seen the movie NEW IN TOWN? It stars Renee Zellweger and
Harry Connick Jr. It is a really cute movie and one every scrapper would enjoy.
It has a group of ladies who scrap in it which I really liked and in the bonus features you will see THE FOLK ART OF SCRAPBOOKING.... you really should take a peek and check this movie out. If you haven't already seen it ... that is!!! :)

5/26/10 Work with "Bee-cause I love you" layout
OMG! I decided to work today... and I totally should have stayed home. I am still in a tun of pain and I am going to the Ortho tomorrow for a must make better appointment. I actually told them if they don't ~ I will! I absolutely hate things stuck in my teeth and these spacers are making the missing teeth hurt even more, and it feels like I have a tun of stuff stuck in my teeth. So I started the day out ok and about a hour later I started crying and missing my pain meds... it was going to be a long day. I did survive... and during my break down all I could think about was my mom. What is it about when we hurt we want someone to take care of us... MOMMY! :) Yes.... even at 40 we still want our moms when we are sick and hurting. (at least I do ) So while I was wishing she was there to take care of me I decided to send her some flowers. Flowers for no reason with a card that said " Just because I love you!" When she got them she cried... she told me that flowers for no reason are the best kind of flowers and she cried not only because it was a nice surprise but because it has been a long, long time since anyone had sent her flowers. So this got me thinking .... why is it that we need a birthday or holiday ( mothers day, valentines day ) to tell those we love how much they mean to us? Maybe I should practice more random acts of kindness. How about you?

5/25/10 OUCH!
Oh my... do I hurt! I can't wait till I feel better and get to eat again. I actually think the wisdom teeth don't hurt it's the metal spacers between my teeth that hurt so much. Thanks for understanding the time off from work and blogging was much appreciated. I am back on track... plus I have a crop this weekend if you are interested.... Friday 6pm-12midnight and Saturday 11am-8pm Come join me and scrap though the rainy days.

5/20/10 Im Freeking out!
FYI - Tomorrow is D - day! I have a really bad wisdom tooth that REALLY needs to come out. I have scheduled the removal 3 times now and chickened out... tomorrow is the day (#3). So FYI I may be a but out of it for the next couple of days and you may not see a post until I feel better. I am really so bummed about this, I have been so good about blogging everyday. Well It has to be done! Plus for those of you who know me I have great teeth... just not straight teeth. So we had planned to have Kamryn getting braces this year and once those last two baby teeth came out ... everything went straight for her. So that left $2500.00 in our flex spending account that we have to use or loose by June 1st. So I am getting braces at 40 years old. I got metal spacers today and 2 teeth out tomorrow ( wisdom plus one more ) and next Friday back braces and soon after a couple weeks of healing .... the rest of the braces. I am excited and nervous and I have always wanted a pretty smile so I am in .... whatever it takes. So this should be interesting and I can't wait till it is all over. For now I might miss a few posts ... but her is a layout for today and I am hoping for a speedy recovery.

District Track Meet Tonight
Today was Kamryn's District track meet. Each school gets to send their 2 best kids in each event. Kamryn qualified in all 3 of her events! Today was the big day.
In the 80m Hurdles... ( Her best even - so I thought ) She had a 3rd place finish.
In the 4 x 100meter Relay ( 4 girls - each runs 100m ) They finished forth. We begged her all last year to join the relay and this year she finally got up the courage to try and let me say she is the best of the four girls. Their relay team is not so great. She HATES it. They actually had a good team and they moved 2 of the girls to the 4 x 400 relay. So now they have a couple not so great runners in the short relay and they have been struggling all season. So now we jokingly tell her why in the world would she ever join the relay team! :) In the 200m dash she was AMAZING and finished first for her heat. Yeah! Congrats Kami - We love you and are proud of you!!!!

5/18/10 To Stitch or not to Stitch....
Have you ever stitched on your pages? I love when I see pages with stitching on them.
It makes me wish I had a sewing machine. A while back I ran across these In-Stitches templates by Bazzill and fell in love. I used to cross stitch when I was younger so this wasn't to hard to get the hang of. You simply hold the template where you want it and Punch the holes with a piercing tool. After you have punched the tiny holes you just stitch your lines. It really is easy and adds a whole new look to your pages. Plus you can use any color of DMC floss for stitching.
Here is a few of the MANY templates from Bazzill.
Here are a few of my pages I created just playing with them. What do you think? Would you ever try stitching or is it to time consuming?

3/15/10 Peace Out With My Little Yellow Bicycle
Here they are! I have finally finished all my Peace pages. There are 6 total and I think they are gROoVy! Don't you? I had to purchase a large amount from Joy just to get her to order it for me. So I have 3 packages of this line for sale. Each package has 2 pieces of each of the papers plus the embellishments ( does not include CS, ribbons and flowers )For $19. It is the same pack I used to create all 6 of these pages. If you would like to get one let me know and I will save you one or get it to you.
5/16/10 Beach
The beach was wonderful! It is always good to come home to your own bed... but I have to say this was just a great trip and I really didn't want to come home. This was the first time we decided to let them bring friends. I really think that was a HUGE part of why it was so enjoyable. Having them be able to just go and come when they wanted and not have to hang out with each other ... (hello.... need I say more:) was huge!!!
The girls were a little young so they were hesitant to just go. They would but not for long. The boys were on the girl prowl big time. I never realized how much they liked girls:) Here are a few more pictures of our beach trip. Enjoy!
